Bee

The First Electric Car Sharing Service in Italy

In 2013, NHP launched Bee, the first Italian electric car & bike sharing project, implemented in Naples. At the time, it was a completely new concept — not just in Campania, but across the entire country.

Bee was officially introduced on April 12, 2012, during Energy Med, a major trade event focused on the green economy. The project initially started with 50 electric cars and 20 Bee Points located at key transportation hubs throughout the city. Just a few months later, the service expanded with a fleet of pedal-assisted bicycles.

The innovation of sustainable mobility started here

With Bee, NHP was a true pioneer in the field of electric car & bike sharing in Italy. We developed innovative technology capable of building efficient infrastructure for the management of a fully electric and automated car sharing service, using exclusively zero-emission vehicles.

It was a way to enjoy the freedom of movement offered by cars or scooters, without the economic and environmental costs tied to owning a petrol-powered vehicle.

Today, that same infrastructure has evolved to offer versatile, clean, and efficient solutions for managing electric fleets of any size — tailored to meet the demands of modern urban transportation.

From Bee to Sharing Cities

With Bee, we were the first in Italy to promote the vision of a city with fewer cars, efficient transport, less stress, and cleaner air as a possible reality. Since then, we have remained convinced that the right technology can revolutionize public, private, and corporate transportation — with just a few simple actions and minimal effort.

This is why today, while experimenting with new business models for sustainable mobility in Milan, we are proud participants in the international “Sharing Cities” project — which brings together innovators from around the world, including large corporations and SMEs.
